Music Video Director Rebecca Gwynne of Bella Rose Films worked here at The Bridge last weekend on a music video for Bad Beat Records. We were all extremely impressed Rebecca, her crew and the quality of the production. We are very excited to see the final edit and we know that will be amazing after seeing the footage and knowing the editors resume.

Here is of video for music blogger Eric Holland.
Oh and if you didn’t hear: “Radiohead lead singer Thom Yorke is going on tour with his side project and it sounds great. The band is called Atoms for Peace and is comprised of Flea, Nigel Godrich, Mauro Refosco and Joey Waronker, all of whom contributed on Thom’s solo album ‘The Eraser’”
Nigel Godrich, (born 28 February 1971 in England), is a recording engineer, record producer and musician. He is best known for his work with the English alternative rock band Radiohead and is sometimes referred to as the “sixth member” of the band. He has also been a member of lead singer Thom Yorke’s live band, Atoms for Peace since 2009.
Godrich has also worked with acts such as Paul McCartney, Travis, Beck, Ultrasound, Jason Falkner, Charlotte Gainsbourg, Pavement,Brazzaville, Air, Natalie Imbruglia, The Sundays, U2, and R.E.M. His production technique is notable for its dense “layers” of sound.[1]

Boston’s Newest and Best

The studio has been extremely busy in the last few months and it has been hard to keep the blog up to date. Aside from a lot of new clients (thanks you for all you kind referrals.), we have a new computer, a new closet, new storage and a new website. The web site is 99% done now and has about 30 pages of info and photos as well as a new look (thanks Taj C). Please feel free to visit the comments page and let us know what you think.
Just when you think the web site is done we will be entering a second stage of “stylizing” in the week ahead. All the small tweak are great. We just added a page to refer out friends in the video world. Thanks to Rebecca at Bella Rose Films for linking to us as well. We have worked with so many great people and been asked to refer so many of you the we all that we are going to be adding a secured page (password protected) with recommendations for studio talent and VO talent. If you wish to be on that list please send us an mp3 demo.
We have also been working a lot as a sound stage for WGBH and related production crews. They love the large quiet space and are able to set up sets, simple back drops and green screens. It has been nice to be part of such a great organization.

We were able to work on some improvements to the studio in the last few weeks. We have a new bass trap for acoustic treatment in the vocal booth. We add a lot of new closet space to keep all the guitars, mics and drums organized. We also moved some electrical outlets to where they are easier to find. Please find some time to come by and say hi, we would like show you the space and all we have done with it in the last year. Oh and we have also updated the website so check it out at www.thebridgesoundstage.com
