Boston based producer and Perfect Time Publishing composer has been hand selected to compete in arguably the biggest beat battle in the nation, The Red Bull Big Tune!
The Philadelphia battle will take place Tuesday May 18th, 2010 at World Café Live, 3025 Walnut Street at 7pm. The Philadelphia battle is the first of the Red Bull Big Tune, which will visit 8 other cities including Los Angeles, Seattle and Detroit. The winning producers from each qualifying competition will advance to the national final in Chicago this fall. Winner of the Chicago final will be given the opportunity to create the ultimate ‘big tune’ with an A-list artist of one’s choice at the prestigious Red Bull Studios in Los Angeles.

The Arcitype – Born in New York City’s Little Italy in the early 80s, The Arcitype’s love for music began at the young age of five when his father enrolled him in music school and surrounded him with different Instruments. By 2002, The Arcitype had branched out into Hip Hop, and pursued a degree in Audio Production and Music at Emerson College. It was during this time that he began to establish himself in the Boston Hip Hop scene, forming relationships with the city’s best emcees, other producers and various promoters. With his studio, The Bridge Sound & Stage, stationed in Cambridge MA as his headquarters, The Arcitype continues to work with artists throughout the US and abroad. He has proved himself to be one of the strongest up and coming Hip Hop producers New England has to offer.
