Social Clubs

ROCK ‘N’ ROLL SOCIAL
The 2nd Tuesday of every month at

THE MODEL CAFE, 7 North Beacon
Street, Allston, MA

7-10pm

Since its November 2003 inception, the Social has drawn Boston area
artists from every genre, from spoken word to metal, punk, pop, roots,
blues and everything in between. And because the music industry relies
on support talent to bridge the gap between the stage and the audience,
the Social also draws writers, DJs, booking agents, publicists, sound
engineers, website designers and photographers.

No bands play during the Social, there’s no cover charge and no pressure
on anyone to bring anything other than their desire to be part of a
local music scene that has launched acts like The Pixies, Patty Griffin,
The Cars, Morphine, Extreme, Til Tuesday, Letters to Cleo and Powerman
5000.

Those who have something to promote usually bring CDs, postcards, fliers
or tickets to give away. Those who looking for new acts to book, new
subjects to write about or new songs to play on local radio usually
bring business cards and leave with a stack of new CDs to check out.
