jess lom

in-house engineer

about

Jess graduated from Northwestern University in 2015 with a BS in Music Technology and Composition. Two years later, she joined The Bridge as an intern and is now working as one of their house engineers. Since moving back to the Boston area, Jess has been in multiple local bands, meeting many great musicians in the area, understanding their process when it comes to writing, recording, and performing music, and learning how they’re all connected.

She loves capturing as close of an accurate recreation as possible of an artist's natural performance and elevating their performance when they're in the studio. Ultimately, you, the artist, have the final say in your music and Jess wants to help you share it with the world.

When at home, Jess is probably playing Starfield or Overwatch, or maybe reading a book.

“It’s more than just a good ear, it’s more than knowing which sounds belong and which sounds don’t. It’s so much more than the audio expertise that is brought to the table. It’s the warmth and support that is given to me as an artist. I step into the booth with more confidence knowing that my engineer is 100 percent all in on the music. Intentional with what is said and knowledgeable in the actions given. I love The Bridge Sound and Stage for a lot of reasons, but the main reason I keep returning is Jess.”
