Jimmy Corbett

in-house engineer

about

Hailing from Boston's north shore, Jimmy got started with audio engineering at UMASS Lowell, where he cut his teeth recording bands to tape, and where he spent countless hours studying musical practices, theory, and technique. He has been a staff engineer at The Bridge since early 2017, and works with a wide variety of genres including rock, jazz, punk, pop, and hip-hop. He has also played in a handful of bands in the Greater Boston and North Shore areas. Jimmy’s combined experience as an artist on stage and working in the studio informs every decision he makes while making a record; he is always thinking from a musician’s perspective. Ultimately, his approach is that all aspects of a recording session must serve the song and performance first, and any idea is worth chasing if it is going to result in a killer take.  Outside of the studio, Jimmy is an avid reader of science fiction. Ask him about it and he will bore you to tears.
