Jimmy Corbett

Jimmy got started with audio engineering at UMASS Lowell, where he cut his teeth recording bands to tape, and where he spent countless hours studying musical practices, theory, and technique. He has been a staff engineer at The Bridge since early 2017, and works with a wide variety of genres including rock, jazz, punk, pop, and hip-hop. He also plays in a handful of bands in the Greater Boston and North Shore areas.

Jimmy’s experience as an artist on stage and in the studio informs every technical decision he makes during a session; he is always thinking from a musician’s perspective. Ultimately, his approach is that all aspects of a recording session must serve the song and performance first, and no idea is too crazy if it is going to result in a killer take. If Jimmy isn’t playing a gig or running a session at The Bridge, he’s probably hiking.
